Will You Embrace Your Opportunities?
"I think I might kill myself next year" said the woman in my office.
I was talking to a client who was at the end of her rope. Widowed several years ago while in her late 50's, she had also gone through the downsizing crunch---and had been unemployed for nearly two years. Rejection after rejection followed in the job market. Even the temp jobs were drying up. Her age was against her and she knew it. And she also knew that she could not exist long term in her middle class lifestyle on her savings and meager pension.
Could this be you in the future...or is it you now? I hope not, but if it is, there are some answers. The Internet as a medium for home based businesses opens up new vistas for anyone who is willing to learn and commit. It is now possible to create an income producing machine without the startup costs found in franchises and real estate.
I do not know how my client's story will end but I do know that we all must prepare as ably as we can for uncertain futures. This can be a time of great opportunity. Will you embrace your opportunities today?
